About the role
Great permanent opportunity for a motivated and experienced Quality Manager to join our CopRice team in Tongala. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating quality management activities across Ruminant Sites (Leongatha, Cobden, Coleambally and Tongala) to ensure CopRice products consistently meet or exceed customer expectations. You will engage stakeholders across Manufacturing, Nutrition and Sales to drive a quality culture and continuously improve quality systems. This role also has a travel requirement to these locations.
**Key responsibilities include**:
Develop comprehensive quality assurance programs that outline procedures, responsibilities, and standards.
Ensure consistent quality standards and practices are implemented across all Ruminant sites.
Develop team capabilities and ensure ongoing training and education is in place to deliver against site quality goals.
Play an instrumental role in root cause analysis, problem-solving, and corrective actions related to feed safety or quality issues.
Ensure all sites comply with relevant regulations and industry standards, facilitating audits and inspections as needed.
Monitor and analyse quality performance metrics across each site to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Lead initiatives to drive continuous improvement in quality processes and systems across all sites.
Oversee responsibilities for Factory GMP/Hygiene standards.
About You
To thrive in this role, you will have an interest in Food Science / Animal Science, along with a solid background in quality management and audits. If you are results oriented with strong problem-solving ability, then this role is for you
**You will have**:
Tertiary qualified in Food Science/Animal Science or related field.
5-10 years’ experience in the Food Industry as a Quality Specialist /Manager.
Previous experience in manufacturing industry.
Proven experience leading and preparing for audits.
Knowledge of feed formulation, animal nutrition, and feed safety standards (Desirable).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively convey quality standards and procedure to stakeholders.
Ability to build strong and collaborative relationships with team members and influence outcomes.
