**The opportunity**
We are working in partnership with a very successful, global group of companies who have been established for over 100 years. Our client provides a range of industries automated equipment & engineering solutions including Food Processing, Manufacturing Mining & Logistics, on a global scale.
They have an opportunity for a Controls Monitoring Manager to lead the controls and monitoring team Nationally.
Leading the Services Planners, Engineers, and Technician Supervisor this role looks for efficiencies with the products & equipment ensuring the customers plants are running at peak efficiency after preventative maintenance or service.

**The Person**
You will have considerable Controls Engineering and leadership experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
You will also have demonstrated experience within the automation industry working on industrial machinery and have the ability to develop electrical control solutions from a sales brief.

**The 'Ideal' person will have**:

- A technical engineering background (ideally Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics)
- Effective business acumen skills
- Previous experience managing and leading a team of engineers or technicians
- Previous experience in most or all of the following - Process Automation, preventative maintenance root cause analysis & robotics, machine safety
- Demonstratable experience and results in successful Controls engineering roles in a manufacturing environment
- An understanding of industrial machinery
- The ability and experience to develop electrical control solutions from a sales brief
- Strong computer skills and software experience i.e.; Halcon, C#
- Basic understanding of the requirements of relevant legislation.
- Ability to prepare and present reports and ideas
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability in following client specifications and building relationships
- Have a current driver's license and the right to live and work permanently in Australia
- The ability to travel locally and interstate on a regular basis

**The role will have x2 direct reports and be responsible for a national team**:

- Provide a responsive service to support our clients' customers across all products and services
- Provide best practice solutions, that ensure the "up time" of the products is maximised
- Analyse information from the field weekly and meet with the customers to discuss possible enhancements or better utilisation of the products
- Utilise existing data sets to ensure the development of best practice preventative maintenance plans.
- Ensure that all current jobs are invoiced within agreed timeframes, utilising the resource planner and reporting tools.
- Support the management of the Service Level Agreements
- Specify materials and components as part of the service work endeavouring to minimise cost
- Ensure customer reports are sent as per SLA's
- Act as a point of escalation as required by the Service Manager
