We have an exciting career opportunity available for a Construction & Fit Innovator to join our Bonds & Champion Design team
In this role you will gain exposure to multiple categories, including Women's and Men's Outerwear, Women's and Men's Underwear, Kids and Babies Outerwear and Kids Underwear. You will be instrumental in ensuring we have the best fit of products.
Your role will be to manage new product development across your assigned categories using your expert patternmaking skills, partnering with our talented Design, Brand & Product and Raw Material teams in Australia and Asia. You will provide technical specifications and manage the fit of garments to ensure a consistent approach is developed and maintained. Your role is critical in taking our brands and styles to the next level. You will be coming up with new concepts and developing the next big thing - keeping our brand relevant and cutting edge.

What will I be doing?
- Proactively organize & manage workflow that adheres to project milestones & development timelines
- Manage multiple innovation projects from initial design brief stage through prototyping, development, and sign off for production
- Interpreting design brief to create original patterns and proto sample to achieve design requirements
- Utilize advanced technical garment construction skills and experience to provide feedback during prototype development, fit sessions, the materials selection process and testing review
- Come prepared to fittings with proactive solutions to achieve product expectations
- Conduct wear testing for consumer validation
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders such as Design, Raw Materials, Product Development and overseas supply partners for current and future development projects
- Create and manage technical specifications to ensure documentation is accurate

What experience do I have?
- Significant experience in a Patternmaker role within the apparel, underwear or swim industry
- Understanding of computer grading using Gerber or similar software
- Strong PC skills: MS Office suite, a working knowledge of Illustrator, and PLM system
- Proven communication and influencing skills - you'll be communicating regularly with our technical team in Asia over the phone or via video conference
- Flexible and positive attitude, comfortable with change and able to work in a fast moving environment
