**The Opportunity**

An opportunity has arisen for a continuous improvement specialist to join the business to support the delivery and execution of a newly scoped strategic program of work. This role will work in partnership with our corporate function in delivering a tailored program of works all whilst ensuring best practice, and leadership. This role is a contract opportunity for 6 months and will play an integral role in shaping the future of G8 Education.

**Your day-to-day**

The Program Manager is responsible for the delivery and execution of strategic programs of work aligned with G8’s organisational priorities. This will be achieved by:

- Supporting the development of the strategy, objectives and direction of the program to ensure alignment with business requirements.
- Effectively leading and uniting cross-functional workstreams, project and program teams to deliver program outcomes.
- Ensuring adherence to best practice program governance practices, ensuring visibility to all relevant stakeholders across progress, performance, costs, benefits, issues and risks.
- Coaching and guiding stakeholders, ranging from team members through to executive sponsors, on elements of best practice program management, leadership and governance.
- Ensuring oversight of the program’s overarching budget, benefits, resourcing and scope management and ensuring relevant control measures and change processes are applied where relevant.

- 5+ years of Program Management experience across complex strategic programs of work
- Demonstrated ability to lead successful change initiatives which have contributed to the achievement of strategic or significant organisational goals
- Formal project management qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in developing effective and influential relationships with executive management teams and other senior stakeholders
- Demonstrated success implementing best practice program management practices
- Proven ability to build effective cross-functional program and project teams
- A high degree of business acumen, understanding the key drivers and areas of focus across different organisational functions
