Join the inpatient hospital Social Work Team and support the provision of optimal health outcomes for our patients and their families.

As a part of the Social Work Hospital Team you will work within an inpatient setting across Acute and sub-acute services in ISLHD. As a Social Worker in the inpatient setting, you will conduct high quality psychosocial assessments, counselling, information and advocacy to patients, consumers and their families in a client centred framework. You will play a crucial role in working within your multidisciplinary team to ensure positive patient outcomes. Wollongong Hospital, located on Dharawal Country, is the Illawarra Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.
