A rare and exciting opportunity has become available for a Level 1/2 Dietitian to join the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District Nutrition & Dietetics Department in a permanent capacity.

The position is based at Wollongong Hospital though may be required to rotate between sites within the ISLHD as per the position description. The position includes a rotational Sunday shift at Wollongong Hospital and may be required to participate in a 7-day rotating roster.

We are looking for an experienced Level 1/2 Dietitian who:

- demonstrates a high level of generalist clinical nutrition knowledge
- is committed to providing high quality patient centred nutrition care
- acts as a resource and advocate for Nutrition & Dietetics and the broader Allied Health service
- contributes to quality improvement and Department or Health Service initiatives
- is committed to learning and development of self and others and who demonstrates contribution to a positive team environment.

An eligibility list may be created and used to offer future full time or part time, permanent or temporary Level 1/2 Dietitian positions across the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District.

**What you'll be doing**

The position provides a dietetics service to patients/client/consumers across the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District.The position will provide high quality inpatient and/or outpatient nutritional care and counselling for referred patients/clients/consumers and act as a consultant for health professionals in the area of nutrition.The position may be required to work a 7 day rotating roster and rotate between sites within the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District as required.

This role is a **Category A **role. Preferred applicants will be reviewed for compliance and required to maintain compliance with the screening, assessment and vaccination requirements, relevant to your position, as outlined in NSW Health policy directive on Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases.

**Selection Criteria**
- Eligible for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia.
- Broad range of recent inpatient and outpatient clinical experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to the provision of high quality dietetic services including individual and group consults.
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work productively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of and experience in quality improvement and service evaluation processes.
- Current NSW (or equivalent) Class C drivers licence.
