**Job Description**:
Under the general direction of the Service Delivery Manager the key responsibilities of the Information Management Lead are:

- To lead the planning, design, implementation, and administration of the IM function for the JP2096 Development Centre and supported Mission System
- Hands-on management of the analysis, monitoring, and reconciliation of data to establish solutions that ensure availability, quality, and reliability of source information within the Mission System
- Ensuring alignment with Defence Enterprise IM by establishing, monitoring, and reporting on compliance with government legislation, standards, and policy
- Developing and maintaining best practice IM policies, procedures, and work instructions
- Leading and conducting systematic internal audits in line with governance requirements ensuring the Development Centre information artefacts are stored in respective knowledge base repositories; this information must also be organised and maintained for accuracy
- Management of the monitoring, identification and provision of guidance to resolve potential impacts, issues, and risks to support services or Mission System performance and compliance, resulting from source system changes or changes to legalisation, standards, or policy
- Providing advice on IM matters and act as an SME to Mission System support services, users, and stakeholders; developing and maintaining relationships with government IM departments and counterparts
- Ensuring the timely processing and fulfilment of IM associated Service Requests when required, and maintaining the IM component of the risk register
- Overseeing and assisting in the preparation of deployable Mission System data loads

**Qualifications**:
**Qualifications**

A degree and/or diploma from an accredited institution in Business Administration (Records and Information Management/Archives), Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; or equivalent experience and combined education with relevant Records and IM management experience, or specialised training.

Coupled with your IM management skills, education, and practical experience you will demonstrate a proactive approach with the ability to analyse and understand the business, identify issues, and develop relationships to achieve a company’s objectives. You will also have:
**Mandatory**
- The ability to achieve and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 2 (NV2) security clearance
- Proven experience in the IM domain including organisation, reporting and analysis, information lifecycle management, and data governance, with focus on complying with legislation, standards and policy
- Experience managing within large complex mission critical environments with numerous customers, stakeholders, and vendors delivering components of a service
- Experience in extracting, transforming, and analysing data to assist in service delivery and system mitigations, ideally within the Department of Defence, a Federal Government department or agency
- Ability to create new analytical and reporting models that combine and summarise data from multiple sources using Excel, databases, and/or other analysis and reporting tools
- Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining effective customer and stakeholder engagement
- Demonstrated experience in leading a small team that interacts with all levels of an organisation and tailoring information (documentation, reports, or presentations) to suit the audience
- Proven communication skills, including experience in developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and work instructions
- Demonstrated expertise in the analysis and interpretation of business and customer requirements or proposed changes to identify possible impacts to service delivery
- Experience in maintaining cyclic work schedules (such as audit or risk schedules)

This role can either be based in Melbourne or Canberra and applicants will need to be able to hold and maintain a security clearance to the Baseline level.
