Payroll Compliance Officer

We have partnered with a renowned Consultancy organisation to recruit a payroll/HR professional that will join their Assurance Team. The primary focus of this role will be to complete pay and conditions auditing of Approved Employers ensuring compliance with relevant Awards / Agreements, contracts of employment and Fair Work Act requirements.
**Responsibilities**
- Reviewing payroll evidence (e.g. timesheets /pay slips etc) against contracts of employment terms, modern award conditions and Fair Work Act requirements.
- Auditing approved employers pay and conditions records against program requirements outlined in a Deed of Agreement (e.g. minimum hours, compliant record keeping etc)
- Making recommendations and referrals to program stakeholders based on findings
- Providing guidance to internal and external stakeholders on workplace legislative requirements
- Establishing and building strong relationships with Approved Employers and all program stakeholders to build capacity to deliver on program requirements
- Other ad hoc tasks as required
**Experience**
- Extensive experience working within a payroll, timesheet administration / interpretation or industrial relations environment
- Detailed understanding of award interpretation
- Technical knowledge of award, EBA and HR compliance
- Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
- High proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
