We're now looking for a talented **Operations Manager **to join our **Operations** team based in Fortitude Valley.

Reporting to General Manager, you will be responsible for providing inspirational leadership to your team and effectively managing the strategic and operational activities of the Queensland business.

In this role you will be leading departments within the Operations team; Customer Project Managers, Contract Coordinators, Design Review Team Members, and Drafting and Estimating team members.

**Key areas of responsibility include**:

- Assist General Manager with general business management including operating models, sales activity, resource requirements, and business opportunity
- Work with stakeholders (locally and remotely) to ensure business processes, disciplines and targets are being achieved
- Review site start, W.I.P. and closed jobs margins to maintain effective cost control and nomination of operational improvements to the site start list
- Responsible for the profitability of the region, ensuring monthly/annual budgets are achieved
- Responsible for appropriate monthly reporting and analysis of performance
- Accountability for the Balanced Scorecard outcomes across The Customer, our People, Operational and Commercial performance
- Identify business improvement strategies to recover any shortfalls in budget
- Work collaboratively across the Operations leadership team to plan and execute the Operations strategy
- Focused engagement with all internal stakeholders to support business improvement, demonstrating engagement, project planning, training and implementation of lean improvement disciplines
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to achieve business goals
- Ensure all activities lead to ‘first-time quality’ outcomes
- Cancel files from SAP and arrange cancellation letters and refunds (if applicable)
- Prepare and collate weekly reporting for Visual management for all stakeholders

- Provide inspiring leadership in line with PD Leadership Competencies
- Drive collaboration with other departments, encouraging cross-department problem solving

**Who we're looking for**:
We’re looking for an outcome-focused individual with a great experience in people leadership who has the experience/capability to:

- Previous management experience is essential with a formal qualification in building and management and strong business/commercial acumen
- Ability to identify process improvement initiatives at a macro and micro level
- Experience with change management practices
- Demonstrated understanding of Building Workflow processes (operations and production)
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of financial management (budgets, forecasting, margin reports)
- Demonstrated understanding of the Sales Workflow process
- Ability to coordinate and implement business strategies
- Ability to maintain a strong workplace culture and team morale
- Demonstrated ability and passion to effectively lead a team
- Professionalism and maturity in all interaction
- A real passion for people focusing on team collaboration
- Strong problem-solving skills with an as well as being approachable
