**Your role**
The IAG Procurement Centre of Excellence (PCOE) operates within the Procurement Partnering and Commercial (PP&C) team, aiming to achieve sustainable and risk-conscious procurement and partnering through insights, processes, and policies. Our goal is to empower stakeholders across the enterprise to make informed and impactful decisions.
The IAG Procurement operating model is centre-led, presenting the unique challenge of influencing decisions and driving change in a cross-functional environment across Australia and New Zealand.
As a Procurement and Supplier Risk Specialist, you’ll lead, drive, and develop processes, tools, and controls that drive supplier risk management outcomes and mature procurement practitioners' risk culture. You will raise awareness, visibility, and understanding of procurement and supplier risks to help the organisation respond to existing and emerging risks and the evolving risk environment. You align procurement risk management with the Group Risk Management Framework, ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory obligations. You’ll develop a risk and resilience framework for supplier management, design risk management dashboards, and collaborate with division & functions to improve procurement risk practices.
Additionally, you’ll maintain the PP&C team risk profile and support compliance to procurement processes and supplier governance.
This is a permanent full-time role offering you the flexibility to be based out of our Naarm (Melbourne) or Galigal Country (Sydney) offices.
**About you**
To be successful in the role, you’ll ideally have the following:
- Proven experience in procurement, category management, supplier or contract management, or sourcing management roles.
- Strong ability to manage procurement and supplier risks within a regulated industry.
- Expertise in developing reports, plans, and analysing risk/control issues, with a track record of implementing effective risk control solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in assurance and audit control tasks.
- Extensive knowledge of risk management frameworks and governance in large organizations.
- Exceptional report writing, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously.
- Project coordination experience, capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing workload.
- Ability to navigate complex organizational challenges and collaborate with team members to achieve success.
