Senior BIM Modeler - VIC Electrical Team
About the Opportunity

An integral role has opened within the VIC Electrical team of a leading services provider. We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient BIM Modeler to facilitate, lead, and coordinate the process of generating digital models and integrated data from the design stage through to construction.

This is a dynamic, hands-on role for a dedicated individual who can be the go-to technical expert for project-specific modeling setup, cross-discipline coordination, and efficient issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities

As the Electrical BIM Modeler, you will be the cornerstone of our digital project delivery, responsible for:

  • BIM Leadership: Conducting the lead electrical BIM coordinator role for significant projects.
  • Model Management: Setting up, managing, and maintaining the electrical model, ensuring it is correct and up-to-date in accordance with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
  • Documentation & Production: Producing and developing high-quality 3D documentation in Revit MEP and AutoCAD for electrical projects.
  • Coordination & Clash Detection: Actively leading coordination between electrical and other services. Performing comprehensive clash detection using tools like Navisworks and Revizto.
  • Data Integrity: Managing drawing registers, submitting drawings to clients, and ensuring linking of information across disciplines.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Liaising effectively with project and engineering teams to update and modify the model based on project needs and engineer recommendations.
  • Quality & Standards: Ensuring work is delivered to a high standard, within required time frames, and maintaining project content (such as family setups). Experience on projects up to LOD400 is required.
  • Technical Support: Providing technical support and mentorship to the project team, leveraging your proficiency in BIM tools.
  • Workflow: Coordinating and managing the BIM project data sets, workflow, and daily model administration.
