Duty Manager

Kirkwood Continental Deli is a much-loved local gem — a European-style deli and grocer that’s evolved into a buzzing neighbourhood café and pizzeria.

By day, we serve beachgoers and locals their continental favourites; by night, we fire up the pizza oven for authentic Neapolitan-style pizza and good vibes.

We’re on the lookout for an experienced, hands-on Duty Manager who’s passionate about hospitality, loves leading a team, and thrives in a lively, community-driven venue.

You’ll work closely with Management to evolve the evening service and help bring our vision for the venue to life.

**What You’ll Be Doing**
- Create and manage weekly rosters like a pro
- Lead, train, and inspire our front-of-house team
- Keep service smooth, fun, and running at a high standard
- Maintain top-notch presentation, food quality, and guest experience
- Handle customer feedback with professionalism and positivity
- Collaborate with the kitchen and management team to deliver seamless service
- Help shape new ideas and strategies to grow the business
- Confidently operate POS systems, manage cash, and monitor stock
- Keep everything compliant — from food safety to workplace standards
- Bring great energy and teamwork to every shift

**Who You Are**
- A confident communicator and natural leader
- Experienced in hospitality management or a senior FOH role
- Calm, organised, and solution-focused under pressure
- Reliable, adaptable, and genuinely customer-focused
- Happy to roll up your sleeves and lead from the floor
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- (Bonus points if you have food prep or menu development experience)
