About the opportunity

Applications are invited for eligible medical officers to join our 2025 Paediatric team at Mercy Health (Werribee Campus).

These are twelve (6) month positions commencing on 04th August 2025

Mercy Health has a number of HMO (PGY3) Paediatric positions suitable for those applicants who have obtained their General Registration with AHPRA.

Mercy Health offer a supported environment where Senior Medical Staff make an effort to know you personally and our HMO education program comprises weekly education session, incorporating simulation workshops and case based education sessions.

Mercy Health offers the following as part of our Paediatric position;.- Paediatric, SCN and outpatient exposure- Excellent supportive environment- Outstanding teaching program including simulation- Job share positions will be considered

Hospital Medical Officers (PGY3+) positions are offered through direct recruitment by Mercy Health.- Australian Trained (Permanent Resident) Graduate of a Victorian Medical Faculty- Australian Trained (Permanent Resident) Graduate of an Interstate Medical Faculty- Temporary Resident Medical Graduate of a Victorian Medical Faculty- Temporary Resident Medical Graduate of an Interstate Medical Faculty- Australian Medical Council Graduate (who has obtained Permanent Residency and is completing the requirements for (or currently holds) General Medical Registration in Australia)- New Zealand Medical Graduates (Permanent Resident or International full-fee student)- International Medical Graduate (Australian Permanent Resident) who will complete 12 months of workplace based assessment at an Australian hospital (Competent Authority Pathway)

About You:
- Hold general registration as a medical practitioner by commencement 04th August 2025.- Equipped with excellent communication skills and promote the Mercy Values of Compassion, Hospitality, Respect, Innovation, Stewardship and Teamwork.- Enthusiastic and motivated to make a real contribution to the provision of high quality care to an ethnically diverse, rapidly growing community- Interested in gaining Paediatric experience

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
- A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.- Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
