Our mission is to provide the facilities and environment to care for people with intellectual disabilities to live healthy, happy, and fulfilled lives.
We provide on the job training and support, personal development in a safe environment, building confidence, and developing independence. We have links to Open Employment providers and provide training to NDIS participants.
**Who You Are**
We are looking for a communicative, friendly, empathetic Bookkeeper to manage accounts payable and receivable.
The Bookkeeper’s responsibilities include reviewing and reconciling accounts, processing payments to external partners and maintaining updated records of invoices and receipts. To be successful in this role, you should have a Finance or Accounting background and be familiar with bookkeeping and disability services.
Ultimately, you will ensure we process all financial and compliance transactions accurately and on time.
The successful applicant’s duties will include, although are not limited to:
- Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Credit Control to ensure timely payment and receipt
- Report on the status of accounts payable and receivable
- Disability Service administration and compliance
- Bank, Financial Report and AdHoc Reconciliations
- Maintain internal accounting and HR databases and spreadsheets
- Manage and liaise with suppliers and customers, internal and external.
- Support Payroll and Month end processes
- Identify and address process Improvements
- Coordinate and carry out office administration, including reception, mail, couriers, greeting clients and filing
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace, and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures

- Qualifications_
- Proven experience in a similar role
- BSc degree in Finance, Accounting or similar field
- Good knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting procedures
- Good knowledge of disability services compliance and regulation
- Hands-on experience with accounting, HR and Payroll software, specifically Xero, NoahFace and Microkeeper
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel (using financial formulas and creating spreadsheets)
- Attention to detail and solid data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical errors
- Good organisational and time-management abilities
- Current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check
- Experience_
- Three years of previous experience in a similar role/industry
- Skills_
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to work as part of a larger team and individually
- Organised and able to meet deadlines
- High attention to detail
