**Role and Responsibilities**
- **
Permanent Full Time Role**
- ** Located at HMAS Albatross, Nowra**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform Microsoft Active Directory administration tasks, including user/group management, account creation, security permissions and group policies
- Analysis of system and security event logs
- Assist IT Security Manager (ITSM) to maintain and improve security posture as per the strategic security plan developed by IT Security Manager.
- Security incident reporting and analysis
- Perform security risk assessments based on Defence Risk Management Framework

**Skills and Experience that you have**:
**Required**
- 3-5 years of network administration, or system administration experience
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, network devices, and protocols
- Strong knowledge of Australian Information Security Manual (ISM), Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF) and Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)

**Desirable**
- System hardening experience
- Working knowledge of corporate Anti-virus products (Symantec Endpoint Protection, Trend Micro, Windows Defender etc.)
- Certification in server administration (Windows or Linux)

**Note**:_as the Australian Department of Defence is a major client, you must be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance, and preferably already hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance._**
