Provide Procurement Support to a busy team on an exciting project

This large facilities services organisation has recently secured some new large-scale projects. As such, they have a newly created role of a Procurement Assistant to support their busy team based in Kewdale.

You will support projects across the Procurement / supply chain life cycle from sourcing, negotiation, contract management, supplier performance management, risk management, category management and fulfilment.

Duties and Skills:

- Assists with the setting up of item catalogues.
- Assists Procurement Specialists and the General Manager, Supply Chain with administrative tasks, including quotations, scheduling audit times, and vendor meetings.
- Manages the on-boarding process and communication to new suppliers and the business.
- Research category or supplier specific information.
- Supports stakeholder and customer relationship management; visits suppliers, stakeholders and sites as required.
- Manages the issuing and receipting of supplier samples.
- Undertakes supply market research, competitor assessments, market, and technology trends
- 2-3 years Procurement experience
- Previous experience in a corporate environment dealing with complex organisational structures
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Demonstrated high level organisational skills
- Professional customer service attitude
- Demonstrates a level of proficiency in Enterprise Resources Planning Software.

This role will start off on a contract basis but may become full time further down the line with a salary of around $90k - $100k depending on your level of experience.
