**About the Role**

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Casual Workplace Trainer/Assessor to assess workplace observations in Childcare. The role involves traveling across the state to conduct observations and assessment in work placement, ensuring learners meet the practical aspects of their qualification.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Assess Practical Skills & Core Competencies**: Observe learners' abilities in supporting child development, play-based learning, inclusion, and safety practices.
- **Evaluate Legal, Ethical & Safety Compliance**: Check adherence to workplace health and safety, child protection laws, and ethical standards.
- **Review Documentation & Observations**: Ensure learners can observe, document, and reflect on children’s behavior and learning.
- **Provide Feedback & Maintain Records**: Offer constructive feedback and keep accurate assessment records in line with regulatory requirements.
- Travel to various Childcare centres across the state as required with a reliable own vehicle.

**Essential Criteria**
- Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent).
- Qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (Certificate III or higher).
- Demonstrated industry currency in the Early Childhood Education and Care sector.
- Current Working with Children Check
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse groups of learners.
- Strong knowledge of compliance standards within the vocational education sector.
- Willingness and ability to travel statewide to conduct and record observations with use of own vehicle.

**Desirable Criteria**
- Practical experience working in Early Childhood Education and Care settings.
- Experience using workplace-based assessment tools.
- Strong organisational skills to manage learner records.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: From $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
- On call

**Experience**:

- Teaching: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver Licence (required)
- Cert IV Training & Assessment - TAE40122 or equivalent (required)
- Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care or higher (required)

- Australia (required)
