We have a unique opportunity for an Accounts Payable Officer to join our Accounting team based in our beautiful Sydney Head Office. As part of the Accounting team and reporting directly to the Accounting Manager you will administer all functions associated with the Accounts Payable process, ensuring the accurate and timely vouchering of invoice and payment of all vendors and suppliers.

You will be responsible for but not limited to:

- Timely and accurate processing and payment of third party vendor invoices, ensuring approval has been obtained in line with the company’s delegation of authority policy.
- Timely and accurate processing and payment of all intercompany merchandise invoices. Ensuring there are no aged items and the intercompany reconciliation is maintained at all times.
- Coordinating and organising electronic filing of all invoices
- ensuring all invoice are appropriately authorised prior to filing
- Liaising with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure all accounts payable queries are addressed timely.
- Assisting with adhoc projects and tasks including (but not limited to) new store openings, system launches, audit requests, regional and head office requests
- Assisting with New Zealand accounts payable function as required

To be considered for this role, you will have:

- A relevant college or university degree with ideally a minimum of 5 years accounts payable experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (Fluent in English)
- Well presented, energetic, with strong communication, written and organization skills
- Advanced in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word)
- Retail industry experience is preferred but not essential.
