Civil Drafter

As part of our ongoing growth strategies **GHD **is seeking an experienced **Civil Drafter **to join our **Rail **team in Northern New South Wales. Based in **Newcastle **, you will join a close-knit team of experienced professionals who are currently enjoying a strong project portfolio, while also having a number of other exciting projects on the horizon.

This exciting career opportunity will see you supporting a variety of large and small-scale projects within a highly regarded group of technical professionals. With passionate leaders, support for your ongoing growth and development and all the resources to succeed, you will play a central role within the team and make your mark on high impact project outcomes.

This role is available on either a full time or part time basis.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Responsible for the design of civil projects and track for railway schemes
- Preparation of drawings and documentation to support project teams
- Support various projects of rail track design and rail infrastructure
- Collaborating with senior team members on various technical tasks
- Conducting specific investigations and assignments

**What would you bring to the team**:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications (Diploma or Advanced Diploma) within the Civil discipline or equivalent
- Systems experience with the following: AutoCAD,12D, Civil3D, OpenRail
- A successful background in the design of rail projects within a project driven and customer focused environment
- An understanding of rail industry standards and a background in compiling studies and/or designs of rail projects
- Well-developed communication skills and a proven attention to detail
