Finance Consultant

This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project planning, execution, and delivery for defined scope of work. Your role is multifaceted, encompassing both managerial and technical (Finance SME) responsibilities. You will serve as the primary point of contact between stakeholders, team members, and upper management, ensuring effective communication and alignment of goals throughout the project lifecycle.
- About the role- Project Planning and Strategy: Lead the development of project plans and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders. Deliver the required project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Develop strategies to mitigate risks and anticipate potential challenges-
- Team Leadership: Build and lead a cohesive project team for the relevant project stream, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Motivate team members to achieve project goals and maintain high standards of quality-
- Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively to ensure optimal utilization of personnel. Monitor resource availability and adjust plans as necessary to accommodate changing project requirements-
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between project stakeholders, including clients, executives, and cross-functional teams for the relevant project stream-
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project outcomes. Proactively monitor project risks throughout the lifecycle and implement contingency plans as needed-
- Communication and Reporting: Facilitate clear and timely communication among project team members and stakeholders. Input into regular progress reports, status updates, and presentations to keep stakeholders informed and engaged-
- Project Change Requests: Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and requirements in accordance with established processes. Evaluate the impact of change requests and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and consensus- About you- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.-
- Proven experience in project management, financial analysis, or related roles, preferably in a corporate finance, consulting, or financial services environment.-
- Strong understanding of financial principles, concepts, and practices, including financial modelling, budgeting, and risk management.-
- Proven experience in project management, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.-
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve excellence.-
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.-
- Solid understanding of Finance-
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project) and Microsoft Office suiteBehaviours
