Project Controls Officer

The** Downer Water Services team **is undertaking a program of works for the DOWSP programs - Water Southern zone and Wastewater Regional zone. This is a project delivery team for water and wastewater pipelines, pump stations and wastewater treatment plants.
**THE ROLE**
The **Project Controls Officer** is responsible for the financial delegation, forecasting and budgeting for the greater program. This involves liaising with Scheduling and Engineering teams to ensure alignment across commercial, contract, governance and financial administration of the program. This opportunity would suit a commercially astute individual that enjoys engaging with a range of construction industry professionals.
Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborate with Project Teams for day-to-day reporting, manage cost code allocation and proper coding of expenses.
- Report actuals, trends, productivity rates and review project ledger costs, expense coding and journal transfer.
- Work alongside of Project Teams, Schedulers and Estimating functions and to establish project cost centre structures and maintain accuracy.
- Support Sub-Contract preparation, analysis, forecasting and certification of claims.
**ABOUT YOU**
- Demonstrated Program Controls experience within the construction industry.
- Knowledge of scheduling, engineering, and project processes.
- Understanding of budget vs commitment, earned value management, scheduling fundamentals and software.
- Adaptive communication style and the ability to engage with a range of industry professionals.
- The desire to work within a team that focuses on culture and contributing to the community.
