Are you an experienced and highly skilled Accounts professional seeking a new opportunity? Our client, Zone Planning Group are currently looking for an Accounts Officer to join their administration team at their Burleigh Heads office. If you have a sound background in accounts receivable, debt collection, and general accounting and administration functions, this role might be perfect for you.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Inhouse debt collection: Prepare fortnightly debtor reports, diligently follow up on outstanding invoices, and take necessary actions to escalate overdue debts when required (e.g., issuing letters of demand, engaging legal processes such as QCAT).
- Accounts receivable management: Efficiently allocate customer payments, provide account breakdowns and amendments to clients upon request, and maintain accurate records of receivables.
- Invoicing: Prepare monthly invoices and reconcile the Work in Progress (WIP) accounts monthly.
- Provide backup support: Assist the finance officer in various areas, including payroll and accounts payable, as and when needed.
- General clerical duties: Perform tasks such as answering phones, facilitating meetings, and other administrative responsibilities to ensure smooth operations within the department.

**About You**

You will have solid experience in a similar role, demonstrating a strong understanding of accounts receivable, debt collection, and general accounting and administration procedures. You will also have:

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate thoughts clearly and confidently. Assertiveness is particularly important when dealing with debt collection.
- Proficiency in using MYOB is highly regarded.
- Full-time availability to work from our beautiful Burleigh Heads office.
