The Cancer Institute NSW is Australia’s first state-wide cancer control agency, established in 2003 to lessen the impact of cancer across the state.

**_What you’ll be doing_**

In this role you will be required to co-ordinate and support the development, and implementation of organisational programs of work, manage the delivery of project objectives which aim to improve cancer outcomes for people from Aboriginal communities.
You will have strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills including experience in building and maintaining relationships with key Aboriginal communities and a diverse range of stakeholders. Essential to this role will be your experience and ability to engage and consults with internal and external stakeholders in a complex and fast-paced environment.
You will have demonstrated experience in day-to-day management of projects and working in a complex environment with competing deadlines and priorities. You will have well developed project management skills and experience, be highly organised with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders at any one time and a track record of delivering successful outcomes. You will be a team player with a can-do attitude, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

**_Essential Requirements_**
- To be eligible for the role, written evidence of Aboriginality must be provided as Aboriginality is a genuine occupational qualification of the role.
- Understanding of the health needs of Aboriginal peoples and communities including a knowledge of relevant trends, issues, policies and practices.
- Good written and verbal communication, stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills including being able to work with Aboriginal organisations and community to achieve effective outcomes and deliverables.
- Experience providing administrative and secretariat support preferably in health, government and/or state-wide programs.
