**YOUR NEW ROLE**: 6 month fixed term contract.
The purpose of the Planning and Purchasing Officer is to provide support to the Planning Lead with the scheduling of orders, the purchasing of goods and services required for production and liaising with Store Staff, Customer Service Centre and Customers for the prompt resolution of issues. You will manage the administrative tasks that relate to production planning and scheduling along with maintaining inventory levels and data and information regarding purchases of raw materials.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE, YOU WILL REQUIRE
- Good understanding of manufacturing, 2+ years' experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in purchasing / inventory planning in a product manufacturing or distribution environment
- Strong Computer skills (Excel, Word, ERP Systems)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external customers
- Production Scheduling experience
- Excellent understanding and working knowledge of workplace health and safety

ABOUT YOU
- Formal Qualifications in relevant discipline
- End to end knowledge of warehouse operations
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems
- Demonstrated ability in implementing continuous improvement initiatives
- Financial analysis
- Experience in leading and coaching teams
