**About the role**:
We currently have a new and exciting role available to join our team as a Head of Infrastructure. Reporting to the Group Head of Architecture, Cybersecurity and Divisional IT, in this newly created role you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation and management of Accent's IT infrastructure systems and resources. This is a leadership which requires strategic thinking, technical expertise and strong management skills.
**Your key responsibilities will include**:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive IT infrastructure strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Identify and recommend innovative technologies and solutions to enhance the efficiency, security, and scalability of our infrastructure.
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure, including network architecture, servers, storage systems, data centers, and cloud services. Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of the infrastructure to support business operations.
- Build and manage a team of IT infrastructure professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting professional growth and development.
- Collaborate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers to evaluate, select, and implement infrastructure solutions. Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and monitor service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure deliverables are met.
- Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect the company's IT infrastructure from internal and external threats. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
- Establish incident response procedures and lead the resolution of critical infrastructure issues. Coordinate with relevant teams and stakeholders to minimize downtime and mitigate the impact of incidents.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends related to IT infrastructure. Conduct research, evaluate new tools and technologies, and make recommendations for their adoption.
**To be successful you will have**:
- Demonstrated 15 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure field, with at least 7 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of networking, server infrastructure, storage systems, virtualisation, cloud services, and data centre operations in a multi-site and retail stores environment.
- Experience with IT security principles and practices, including risk assessment, vulnerability management, and incident response.
- Proven track record in leading and managing a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
- Experience within in the Retail industry benefical
- Excellent written, verbal communications skills
