**The Role - Assistant Service Director**

The Assistant Director role is essential in the success of the day-to-day management of a large Early Childhood Service.

This position provides support for both the educational team and the management team. The role serves as a stepping stone for future career growth, with opportunities to advance as the company grows. Orchard Early Learning Centres has a further 10 centres in the pipeline across Sydney.

While you'll be hands-on across all the rooms, you'll also have dedicated non-contact time to assist with administrative duties.

**Your day will involve**:

- Working with and alongside 2 Centre Directors to manage the daily responsibilities of running and maintaining a large service
- Motivating, supporting and working in partnership with the team
- Deliver a best practice educaring approach to educational programs for children
- Having a thorough knowledge of and experience with implementing the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards and Child Safety Standards
- Assist with conducting parent and new staff tours
- Assist with roster and day-to-day management of staff
- Developing and maintaining relationships with families and members of the community to maintain/increase the centre's occupancy
- This role will have 2 days of non-contact day

**About you**:

- Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching or a Diploma (or equivalent as recognised by ACECQA)
- WWC, First Aid Certificate and Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates and child protection
- Proven experience in leading and developing a large team of professional educators.
- Business management abilities together with confident people management skills
- Passion for coaching, mentoring and growing educators
- Established people and leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skill, including documentation skills
- Superior knowledge of EYLF and NQS
- Sponsorship available for this position
