**Position Overview**

We are seeking a Disability Support Worker to join our team. We are specifically looking for someone who can support a Gentleman living with Intellectual disability in Dandenong with their daily living activities, promoting independence and enhancing their quality of life. The supports will be varied, but with a common goal to enhance the ability of the individual to live independently. With the support of a clinical allied health team, you’ll be expected to implement several support strategies that seek to improve the overall day to day for the individual.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide support to NDIS participant, including assistance with daily living activities.
- Support participant at home with domestic tasks
- Facilitate social and community engagement activities.
- Implement individual support plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Maintain accurate progress notes.
- Report incidents where necessary
- Collaborate with team members and healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for clients.

**Qualifications**:

- Certificate III in Disability or equivalent qualification.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (mandatory).
- Working With Children Check (WWC) (mandatory).
- Experience working with individuals diagnosed with Intellectual Disability, ASD, ADHD and OCD
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy and a genuine desire to support individuals with disabilities.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $33.00 - $44.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (required)
- Working with Children Check (required)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (required)
- National Police Certificate (required)
- Driver Licence (required)

Work Location: In person

Expected Start Date: 07/02/2025
