The Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District Drug and Alcohol Service offers free, non-judgemental services and treatments for drug and/or alcohol use, including information and support for families.
Our service offers specialist drug and alcohol doctors, nurses and allied health staff who respect the client's right to choose from a range of treatments offered with our services underpinned by a philosophy of harm reduction.

A Permanent Part time opportunity is now available for an Administration Officer to join the Nepean Hospital team, located at Kingswood..

This busy role will see you keep a record of essential patient data related to patient admission/transfers and discharge transactions, including patient file management. All tasks are essential to accurate billing of patient medical history.

The Administration Officer will maintain the tidiness of the ward/unit reception area, maintain supply of patient record stationary under the direction of the Nurse Unit Manager and work collaboratively with members of the multidisciplinary health team in the planning and implementation of clerical systems within the unit whilst you will ensure optimal outcomes for patients and clients of the service through the promotion of best practice.

**What you will bring to the role**:

- Extensive clerical experience in receptionist/customer service position
- Demonstrated excellent clerical organisational skills and time management.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills - verbal and written, with strong attention to details.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Competent computer skills in a windows based environment
- Basic knowledge and familiarity with data entry into database systems.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to flexible work practices
- Knowledge of iPMS, Electronic Journey Board and Electronic Medical Record system
