Following a recent announcement by the Australian Government to acquire UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters from the US Government, Lockheed Martin Australia is establishing a core team of experienced military Rotary Wing professionals to support the potential procurement and sustainment activities. The modern-day, 3rd Generation UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter is the world’s leading multi-role battlefield and special operations helicopter with a proven legacy of exceptional capability and reliability. **Your responsibilities will include**:
- Perform the duties of the Part 145 RM IAW DASA Regulations as a Form 4 holder.
- Maintain the currently held DASA Part 145 and ISO9001 & ISO9110 accreditations and their supporting systems.
- Champion a culture of excellence and continuous improvement across 16 Aviation Brigade.
- Ensure maintenance is conducted to the correct standards at all times.
- Ensure all aeronautical products conforms with DASR requirements prior to consumption by maintenance
- Investigate WHS incidents and provide reports to Management.
- Ensure inspections and audits of workplaces, processes and equipment for Quality, Safety and Compliance are planned and conducted.
- Control and mitigate workplace hazards and risks, ensuring that the risk is accepted at the appropriate levels.
**About you**:
- You will hold a Bachelor of Engineering degree or Diploma level, or equivalent qualification in appropriately related aviation field such as, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace, Aeronautical, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or Maintenance Management and are able to obtain Chartered Professional Engineer, Chartered Engineering Technologist, or Chartered Engineering Associate (CEngA) status under an Australian recognised organisation.
To be successful in this role you will also have:
- Demonstrated experience as staff or DASA or an organisation holding an Organisational Approval (excluding 147), under DASR, CASA, EMAR, EASA or equivalent.
- Advanced knowledge and experience managing DASR Part 145 Aerospace Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) organisation including experience with Part 66 Maintenance Licensing.
- Advanced ability to exercise judgement and maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive matters.
- Advanced problem solving skills with the ability to resolve complex issues using standard and non-standard procedures.
- Demonstrated experience establishing strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
**Special Requirements**:
- Applicants are required to be Australian Citizens and hold a current or re-instatable NV1 Defence Security Clearance or be eligible to gain this.
The location of the role will be at Oakey, QLD.
