**Zone Design** is a South Melbourne-based interior design studio specialising in high-quality residential and commercial interior design solutions. We deliver end-to-end design services, from concept development through to detailed documentation and project delivery.

**The Role**

We are seeking a skilled Interior Designer to join our growing team. This role involves developing functional, compliant, and aesthetically refined interior design solutions in line with client briefs, project requirements, and Australian standards.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Consult with clients to establish design briefs, functional requirements, budgets, and timelines
- Develop interior design concepts, layouts, colour schemes, finishes, and material selections
- Prepare detailed interior drawings, specifications, and documentation using CAD/design software
- Ensure designs comply with Australian building codes, standards, and WHS requirements
- Coordinate with architects, builders, engineers, and suppliers throughout project delivery
- Select furniture, fixtures, fittings, lighting, and finishes appropriate to project scope
- Manage design revisions and incorporate client feedback
- Conduct site visits and assist with design implementation during construction or fit-out
- Monitor design quality, costs, and consistency across all project stages

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Interior Design (or equivalent)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp or similar design software
- Strong knowledge of building materials, finishes, and construction processes
- Understanding of Australian building regulations and standards
- Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills

**Experience**
- Minimum 2 years relevant work experience as an Interior Designer
- Experience in residential and/or commercial interior design projects preferred
