**About the Company**
Our client is one of Australia’s leading Pathology and Medical diagnostic service providers.

**About the Role**
This role is based in Canberra and services local medical centres and specialists. Your duties and responsibilities include:

- Supervise a small team of 6 laboratory scientists in a multi-disciplinary setting (Biochemistry, Haematology, Stat micro, PCR.
- **This role is managerial and you will NOT generally be required to perform laboratory work as part of your duties.**:

- **Working hours will be Monday to Friday**:

- Prioritise workflow to meet client’s requirements
- Ensure results are released with acceptable turnaround times (TAT)
- Liaise with senior staff and Pathologists regarding unusual and abnormal results
- Ensure all laboratory equipment is maintained in optimal condition and working order, all scheduled routine maintenance is performed and any unscheduled maintenance is performed as required
- Review and update all Laboratory documentation as required

**About You**
To be considered for this role your skills and attributes should include:

- Tertiary Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent
- You must have AIMS accreditation
- Experience in a multi-disciplinary environment
- Strong interpersonal skills to build meaningful partnerships
- Experience in working under tight deadlines to meet day-to-day targets, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks within set timeline
- Results-orientated and a proactive and effective problem solver
- Proven skills in defining, prioritising and organising competing tasks to meet deadlines
- Ability to demonstrate the highest levels of confidentiality and integrity at all times
- Must hold full working rights in Australia
