**Contractor Dietitian Position**

Description:
The position includes the provision of Nutrition and Dietetics contracting services to multiple GP clinics in Melbourne starting in late September. Current hours of work is 2-3 days and will increase as the service grows. Days of service are somewhat negotiable and would ideally suit those looking to supplement their current employment.

Bookings and administration assistance are provided within the GP clinic.

The position is based in Yarra Glen, Box Hill, Keysborough and Glen Waverly.

**Duties**:

- Ability to liaise with GP’s, practice nurses to maintain consistent referral basis

‐ Provision of appropriate evidence based nutrition & Dietetics services and information resources from appropriate sources

‐ Ensure appropriate paperwork is completed by on date of service

Key Selection Criteria:
1] Evidence of current Dietitians Australia membership and APD status

2] Current license and own transport and laptop

3] Evidence of ABN or be in the process of obtaining one (assistance will be provided)

4] Evidence of current Professional Indemnity Insurance, willingness to maintain this and presenting this on an annual basis

5] Capacity to use diverse range of software suites

6] Work well under pressure in heavily booked clinics

7] Demonstrated high degree of professional autonomy and capacity to organize and prioritize own patient load

8] Evidence of current national police check and Victorian working with children check

9] Strong understanding of EPC Dietetics requirements under MBS and willingness to obtain provider numbers [i.e. minimum consultation times, maximum services provided under EPCs and referrer communication requirements]

Desirable:
10] Dual Dietitian and Diabetes Educator qualifications will be advantageous but not essential

11] Applicants with prior non-diet approach training/ experience will be advantageous but not essential

Previous experience is desirable and experience specifically in private practice will be held in high regard but will not be held as exclusion criteria. New graduates will be considered.
