**Your team responsibilities**

Institutional sales specialist covering Index, ESG and climate solutions with scope to build into analytics sales. Based in Sydney.

MSCI's Australia and New Zealand business is looking to expand its team and hire a commercially driven and results oriented individual. This sales position is aimed at expanding and increasing the usage of our industry-leading suite of products across Index, ESG and Climate solutions to support our clients' investment decisions. This role requires the ability to build and develop strong client relationships, initiate and drive sales and hit revenue targets.

MSCI works with a range of institutional clients. Previous sales experience with Assets Owners and Asset Managers is desired, as is previous sales experience in Index solutions and ESG related business opportunities focusing on data sales.

**Your key responsibilities**
- Sales coverage representing MSCI in key client segments
- Achieve allocated quarterly and annual revenue targets
- Build a strong understanding of our MSCI products
- Develop clear sales plans and strong sales pipeline for each allocated industry segment
- Lead client engagement, needs assessment, and solution pitches
- High-level contact with clients/prospects and other major industry participants
- Address client inquiries regarding products and solutions
- Maintain accurate records regarding client account visits, client conversations, finalized contracts
- Work seamlessly with other MSCI teams across the APAC region and globe (Client Service, Research, Product Management, Legal, Operations) to solve client requests and needs
- Collaborate with other sales teams to achieve cross-segment opportunities and synergies
- Monitor and manage client satisfaction and retention
- Provide feedback from clients to Marketing, Sales, Research and Product Development groups

- Experience in investment/ finance theory and portfolio management
- Proven sales closing skills and demonstrable track record in business development
- Superior time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects
