CatholicCare Diocese of Broken Bay is the Approved Provider for Family Day Care Sydney North and North West (FDCSNNW). Our Family Day Care scheme has been operating for over 40 years. **About the opportunity**

Family Day Care is a home based child care service providing care and education for up to 4 children from birth to 12 years of age. Educators are self-employed and registered with the Approved Provider, CatholicCare Diocese of Broken Bay. The small group setting allows FDC Educators to give each child the personal care and attention which is vital to help young children develop new skills and interests.

**Duties**

Some of your responsibilities will include:

- Plan and implement programs for a small group of children
- Develop and maintain a safe, stimulating environment for children
- Abide by the legal requirements outlined in the Education and Care Services National Regulations and Family Day Care SNNW Educator’s Agreement
- Work cooperatively with the Coordination unit to ensure the best outcomes for children and their families.

**Skills & experience**

To be considered as a FDC Educator for CatholicCare you will have:

- Completed minimum Certificate III qualifications in Child Care.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement programs for children based on the Early Years Learning Framework.
- Understanding of Child Protection responsibilities and the mandatory reporter role.
- Current Working with Children Check.
