Onshore Construction Lead

**The Role**:
**Where you fit in**

Prelude is Shell’s first Floating LNG, and there is a continual funnel of Brownfield projects which are handed to the Maintenance Turnaround Construction (MTAC) execution organisation to execute.

Reporting to the Turnaround & Construction Manager, you will be responsible for the safe execution of all Brown Field Projects and Construction activities.

It is expected that approximately 25% of working time will be spent offshore on Prelude through regular visits, leading ad hoc construction activities and providing cover to the Offshore Construction Lead as required.

**What’s the role?**

You will support the Brownfield project engineering team through the project phases and ensure project readiness prior to offshore construction. The Onshore Construction Lead will the work closely to support the Shell Offshore Construction Lead and Construction contractor team through to completion of the project construction and commissioning phase.

You will also be required to support the wider Turnaround & Construction Organisation if required to respond to unplanned outages or events. The Onshore Construction lead will also work closely with the Turnaround Coordinators to ensure Turnaround Projects are integrated into the Turnaround schedule.

You will use your expertise to:

- Work closely with the Maintenance Planning/Scheduling Manager and Maintenance Coordinator to distribute on-routine and routine execution work priorities, ensuring multi-discipline integration and alignment across areas of contractor and Prelude organization.
- Work closely with the Brown Field Projects organization and the Integrated Engineering Team (IET) and Planning function to integrate projects and major maintenance into turnarounds.
- Work Closely with the Integrated Engineering Team with close relationship with Integrated Engineering Team Brownfield Manager to deliver all Prelude brownfield projects safely and on time with a focus on Simultaneous Operations (SIMOP) activities.
- Visible leadership in planning and executing Prelude Turnarounds and relevant unplanned Pit Stops and events.
- Ensures Event Turnarounds (planned and unplanned) to ensure all construction work is fully integrated in the turnaround scope.
- Collaborate with Contracts & Procurement to ensure contract award process is followed as per Shell Australia.

**What we need from you**

We are keen to speak to professionals with the following:

- A Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent extensive years of experience with proven previous experience in offshore project coordination on a large Offshore installation/LNG Plant.
- Skilled on Project Execution management (e.g., scope development, planning, scheduling, decontamination, execution, contracting, safety).
- Effective communication, coaching, and motivational skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills, effectively able to pull groups together and coordinate action plans to drive resolution. Excellent Leadership, influencing and negotiating skills, coupled with diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Experienced HSSE leader, with detailed knowledge of personal and process safety delivery and risk management.
- Strong interpersonal skills as this role interfaces regularly with Engineering, Production, Contracting and Procurement and Turnaround/Projects. Ability to influence without direct authority.
- Self-motivated and driven. Can manage evolving priorities and deliver on multiple commitments in a timely manner.
- Experience of managing a Construction / Turnaround and contractor work force.
- SAP Blueprint and P6 (Primavera Project Planner) preferred. Knowledge and experience with Computerized Maintenance management systems (CMMS).
