**What You Will Be Working On**:
As a Leading Hand Property, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality leadership to your team and ensure that hazard identification and risk assessment methods are actively engaged by all.

You will be analysing performance issues and develop interventions or solutions to turn around underperforming works. You will regularly collect feedback from stakeholders and escalate where needed.

You will be promoting a strong culture of responsibility for safety and sustainability and ensure controls are in place to address any health, safety and environmental risks.

Assess trades required for works and contract external tradesmen as needed, review and adjust decisions where needed. Evaluate the work thereafter and provide feedback and update reports.

Your job will involve physical tasks such as lifting, loading, and driving the council vehicle, which can provide a level of physical exercise and help maintain fitness. However it is important to be following safety protocols to be able to maintain a healthy work environment.

You will have regular contact with members of the community. This can provide opportunities for positive interactions with residents, fostering a sense of community and contributing to a friendly and helpful image of the City of Armadale.

**What Type Of Person Will Be Successful**

An awesome leader who has the following:

- Possession of Trade qualification(s) associated with the Building or Construction industry.
- Experience in the Building, Construction or Maintenance industries, particularly in relation to planning of works to ensure safe and efficient procedures are followed at all times.
- Experience in leading a team of internal and external partners to deliver trade based outcomes, assessing and correcting workmanship to quality standards within timeframes.
- Working knowledge of building industry and Work Health and Safety regulations and obligations.
- Knowledge of plumbing drainage, air conditioning, power tools and asbestos maintenance requirements.
- Strong proficiency in general handy-man carpentry tasks and an ability to diagnose required maintenance works.
- Possession of a current Working at Heights accreditation
- Possession of a current Construction Induction Card.
- Possession of current C Class Drivers Licence.
- Possession of or ability to obtain a current National Police Certificate.
