Legal Assistant (Public Liability)

What are we looking for?

Our public liability lawyers assist clients for many injuries incurred that result because another party has breached their duty of care. Some may include: slips and trips on public or private property; unsafe premises (such as balconies, stairs or walking surfaces); dog or animal attacks; physical assaults; Sporting accidents (including recreational and adventure activities); injuries on private property including rental properties or health and fitness injuries (such as massage or personal training).

This is a not-to-miss opportunity for those who like to take ownership of their work and work hands on with matters.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Liaising with clients, lawyers and other medical professionals
- Arranging appointments
- Producing and filing court documents
- Preparing briefs
- Managing a database
- Diary management
- Generating & editing correspondence

What will you bring?

You will be an experienced Legal Assistant with a passion for social justice and generating positive outcomes for clients.

The following experience and skills will ensure your success in this position:

- Previous experience as a legal assistant, with a solid legal background and understanding of personal injury law would be extremely desirable.
- A high attention to detail
- Proven time management
- An ability to deal sensitively with clients, and show empathy and compassion
- The ability to work independently
- A proven ability in working as part of a team
