**The Role**
We are seeking motivated individuals to fill APS5 roles within the Work Health and Safety (WHS) Branch. The current and expected vacancies sit within the Strategy and Policy Directorate and provide administration and coordination support to the Branch. These roles contribute to successful work health and safety outcomes at the enterprise level for Defence people.
Your role may involve working in a high-tempo environment to:
- Display initiative and sound decision making in the coordination of governance and reporting tasks on behalf of the Branch;
- Provide support and secretariat for a range of WHS committees;
- Work independently or under limited guidance;
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on policy, project or operational issues to support Enterprise level WHS issues and safety promotion; and

We are seeking resilience, good organisation skills and agility. You will enjoy working in a team environment and being collaborative, and be self-driven to achieve individual tasks. You will understand how to effectively manage stakeholder expectations and to balance priorities.
- Ability to respond appropriately to dynamic and evolving tasking requirements from a variety of stakeholders;
- Excellent administration and time management skills and be able to manage competing priorities;
- Ability to gather, analyse and report on customer feedback;
- Preparation of correspondence, reports, and/or policy and procedural documents for review and publication; and
- Good written and verbal communication skills. Previous WHS experience is not required.
