Full Time Senior Structural Engineer

SALARY $160,000 + 11% SUPERANNUATION
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Finite Element Analysis (FEA): Use FEA software to simulate the behaviour of structures under various load conditions. Interpret the results to optimize design and ensure structural integrity.
Certification: Certify structures for safety and compliance with industry standards, local and international building codes, and client specifications.
Project Management: Oversee all stages of the project lifecycle, from initial concept and feasibility studies through to detailed design, construction, and final handover.
Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership to engineers and other members of the project team. Review and approve their work, provide guidance, and ensure adherence to best practices.
Collaboration: Collaborate with contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure that the structural design integrates well with all other aspects of the project.
Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed engineering records and reports. This includes design calculations, drawings, interpreting specifications, and inspection reports.
Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that all designs meet the required standards.
Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks associated with the structural design through monitoring variations to designs. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.
Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with the latest developments in structural engineering and related disciplines such as geotechnical engineering, including new design techniques, materials, and software tools. Participate in professional development activities such as seminars, workshops, and conferences.
Client Relations: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, present design proposals, and address any concerns they may have. Ensure client satisfaction through high

Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the design, construction, or inspection phases of a project.
Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of project budgets, schedules and detailed cost plans. Monitor project costs to ensure they stay within budget.
REQUIRED SKILLS/BACKGROUND
Minimum bachelor?s degree qualification
Professional Registration: Must be professionally registered as a Structural Engineer.
Finite Element Analysis Expertise: Proficiency in 3D finite element analysis of structures and detailed 3D analysis is required.
Broad Knowledge Base: Possess a comprehensive understanding of principles used in geotechnical engineering, structural analysis, strength of materials, design of steel structures, design of reinforced concrete structures, construction methods, and structural dynamics.
Fluent English: English language proficiency at a level equivalent to or exceeding an IELTS score of 6. 0 in each module.
