**About the role**
The Early Years Project Officer is required to coordinate and manage a number of priority early years projects such as policy development, strategy, program design and implementation. The role is required to effectively coordinate projects and work across the Department and the organisation as required.
- Other responsibilities include:_
- Source demographic data regarding current and projected future characteristics of families with children 0-6 years
- Facilitate family and child focused activities to meet Council Plan objectives
- Map universal, secondary and tertiary services available to families with children aged 0-6 years to identify service priorities and any unmet need.
**About you**
We are looking for a dedicated and proactive individual with a strong background in early childhood education. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including families, community members, and service providers. Experience in project management and program evaluation will be highly regarded.
The following is also required:
- Tertiary qualifications in Early Childhood and/or Graduate Diploma in relevant specialist area
- Relevant experience in the planning and development of early years services
- Experience in planning, implementing, resourcing and evaluating inclusive and responsive early years programs and professional development.
- Experience in supporting committees, facilitating networks and leading public consultations and forums
- Experience in project planning and implementation
