**About the role**

The Metering Operations Analyst plays a vital role as a valued member of the Metering team, under the guidance of the Meter Implementation Lead.

Situated within the Metering Implementation division, a crucial component of Retail X at Origin, the Metering Operations team is dedicated to ensuring the efficiency, safety, and compliance of metering processes at customer properties.

The purpose of the role of Metering Operations Analyst is to provide support to the broader team through:

- Analysis and administration of Metering processes and adhering to strict internal and external guidelines.
- Analysis and administration of metering services to comply with strict industry protocols (such as National Electricity Rules, MSATS Procedures), rigorous market standards and customer needs.
- Analysis of potential defects and troubleshooting with stakeholders to resolve issues and enquiries.
- Metering assurance - operate within the Metering Operations processes to collect, validate, and store metering related information.

**Skills & experience**

In this fast moving, highly compliant environment strong organisational skills are essential, with the ability to manage and prioritise conflicting priorities. You will have an analytical mindset and a solution focussed approach.
- Understand national electricity rules (NER), metrology procedures and its context within SLA
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in an analytical role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build/maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
