Reporting to and working alongside the Adelaide based Inventory Manager, this role will be responsible for assisting to managing stock, lead times and budgets to meet branch requirements while providing professional customer service to both internal and external customers. Building key relationships with Internal & External Sales staff, National Operations, Branch Warehouse staff, all other branches and suppliers, key duties and responsibilities within the areas of planning and paintline scheduling will include:

- Assist Inventory Controller in planning and performing production related activities
- Manage production activities to meet manufacturing objectives in timely and cost-effective manner
- Identify production issues, analyse root causes, and suggest solutions
- Develop production plan and schedule to ensure continuous operations
- Develop logistic strategy to avoid downtime and delays
- Work with Inventory Controller in budget analysis and preparation
- Monitor and manage expenses within allotted budget
- Understand and control lead time scheduling and just in time methodology
- Understand and control colour batching and maximizing painting reclaims
- Ideally suiting individuals with a background working in a similar role with Production or Inventory Management, those offering experience within the building construction and supply industry would be advantageous however those offering experience outside of the industry with exposure to computerised inventory systems with complex forecasting systems and high SKU count are equally encouraged.
