We are seeking an experienced Production Planner to join one of our clients for an immediate start.

**The Role**

Key responsibilities include:

- Production Planning, in a manufacturing industry
- Monitoring stock levels, creating production work orders and monitoring lead times in order to ensure customer orders are fulfilled within tight time frames
- Creating and maintaining production schedules
- Monitoring inventory levels
- Tracking progress against production targets
- Be an active member of the team and assist in the development of production planning processes
- Monitoring schedules and progress
- Drive for continuous improvement in the planning/scheduling process and participation in specific projects as required
- Resolve production planning issues as required, utilizing appropriate procedures and frameworks
- Ensure full compliance with regulation policies, and procedures to maximise safety in the workplace
- Schedule work orders and routings internally to meet delivery schedules
- Raise and monitor purchase orders on vendors to meet production schedules

**Experience Required**
- Qualification in planning, in a manufacturing industry
- Previous production planner experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- A high degree of flexibility and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Time management skills
- Intermediate Excel skills
- ERP/MRP experience
