Barista Assistant / Front House Staff

Mon - Sat, between 6:00am - 2:30pm

We are currently looking for a young and energetic front house staff to join our team on a part-time/casual Barista assistant role at our cafe, Kooco Espresso bar & Kitchen.
With high quality customer service our number one goal, the successful applicant must be able to demonstrate not only the right skills and experience for the job, but also the right attitude and self motivation that will result in a positive experience every time for our customers. You will be required to assist FOH team doing greetings and comfort customers, placing their food and drink orders, clean and re-set tables, and general associated customer service duties under the lead of our managers.

**Duties**
- Assisting head barista with making coffee & beverages
- Work with other staff as a team
- Maintain hygene & clean service area
- Prep drink bar menu on based drink menu stock
- Opening or Closing coffee bar
- Provide excellent customer service
- Build customer service relationship with customers
- Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
- Inform customers about the day’s specials
- Offer menu recommendations upon request
- Up-sell additional products when appropriate
- Take accurate food and drinks orders, using a modern POS ordering software
- Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff
- Take orders and deliver them to the table deftly and accurately
- Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning
- Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations
- Follow all relevant health department regulations

**Desirable criteria**:

- Experience in hospitality industry
- Have own transport vehicle

**Salary**: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
