We are Quest Coffee Roasters, a long established espresso bar and organic coffee roastery with a loyal community following in Burleigh Heads and the Gold Coast. We sell coffee beans and products in store, online, and wholesale. We are known for our top quality coffee, epic toasties, delicious in house baked cakes and treats, and friendly café service.

**We are looking for a Barista / All Rounder to join our team**

**Position**: Barista / All Rounder
**Hours**: 32-40 hours / week
**Schedule**: Between 4:45am and 5pm
**Rate**: $33.00 to $35.00 / hr + Super, Bonuses, and Penalty Rates
**Location**: Burleigh Heads, Gold Coast, QLD

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- **Welcoming and engaging customers** with friendly conversation, and actively determining their coffee preferences and needs to provide personalised recommendations.
- **Barista **responsibilities, including expertly preparing and serving a variety of beverages (including espresso, macchiato, latte, cappuccino), food items, and providing exceptional customer service.
- Actively **promoting and selling coffees**, as well as coffee brewing equipment, by effectively communicating the unique attributes and benefits of each product.
- Maintaining a **clean, safe, and hygienic work environment** that adheres to organisation standards and follows sanitation regulations to prioritise the well-being of both staff and customers.

**ABOUT YOU**

**Professional Requirements**
- 2 or more years of recent experience as a professional barista within a cafe or coffee shop.
- Consistent and well practised latte art.
- Strong listening and verbal communication skills
- A strong understanding of Food Health & Safety

**Nice to have**
- Certification in Hospitality or related industry.
- Experienced in a fast paced cafe.
- Experience as a Cafe Manager, and or Opening / Closing Cafe.
- Food handling experience.

**Personal Requirements**
- Australian citizen or resident with an appropriate long term visa to work in Australia
- Availability to work at least 1 weekend day every week
- Availability to work shifts from 5am to 3pm if required
- Loves coffee and tea
- Own transport to and from work

Pay: $33.00 - $35.00 per hour
