Maroondah City Council has an exciting opportunity for a passionate, dynamic and forward-thinking professional for the position of Team Leader Business Development and Strategic Projects. This position reports to the Manager Business & Precincts and is responsible for leading a skilled and enthusiastic team as well as contributing to strategy development, stewarding special projects, service area operational reviews and reporting of the unit’s activities aligned with economic development outcomes for the municipality of Maroondah and the eastern region.

The Team Leader Business Development & Strategic Projects is responsible for providing leadership to the Business Support team, overseeing delivery of support programs and engagement initiatives understanding and interpreting local and regional business and economic trends and identifying opportunities for implementation within the operating parameters of the Business & Precincts team.

The Team Leader Business Development & Strategic Projects is responsible for developing close working relationships across the Business & Activity Centre Development team and Business & Precincts team to identify opportunities for enhanced service delivery and process improvements. The role will also undertake liaison with internal council service areas to inform specific projects, policies and strategies undertaken on behalf of the team and organisation where necessary.
