**About Your Role**

We have an exciting leadership opportunity for an Environment and Sustainability Manager to assure that Thales’ activities in Australia are aligned with both Group and Australian environment and sustainability objectives.

This is a critical role and will see you have the opportunity to engage with executives both locally.

Your key focus will be:

- Act as the principal contact point with Thales Group (Global) on environment & environmental sustainability matters;
- Subject Matter Expert on all Environmental & Sustainability management topics for Thales Australia;
- Mentor and lead the business HSE team to execute on group & Australian environmental sustainability strategies;
- Develop sustainability competence and capability across all levels of the business;
- Champion change and collaboration on environment and sustainability matters.

We offer hybrid working and there is flexibility for this position to be based out of Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.

**How About You?**
- Tertiary qualifications in Environment Science or similar;
- Minimum of 5 - 7 years experience leading environmental sustainability management in industries - water, air emissions, waste, energy, hazardous regulated substances, biodiversity & soil/Ground water pollution;
- Experience working with international teams;
- Experience working in large complex multi-national organisations;
- Deep understanding of Environment & WHS regulation across all Australian States;
- Inspiring leader who is able to coach and motivate.
