Digital Print Operator

Nuovo Group is a small business based in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne, we specialise in paper products such as greeting cards, journals, books and more.

**About the Role**:
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic person to join our team. We are looking for an experienced digital print operator who is able to be an all rounder and someone who’s a team player. This role will be responsible for printing, packing, labelling and dispatching orders. When required, this role will also assist with book production.

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Computer skills
- Booking in jobs
- Quality control
- Operate production equipment including; printers, folders, binders and guillotine machine (will be trained on particular machines if required)
- Process and run digital print jobs
- Book binding including case making and casing in
- Packing and dispatching jobs

- Production workflow, planning, and efficient work scheduling
- Follow verbal and written instructions
- Understanding of all production / distribution working practices
- Willing to learn and expand skill set
- Maintain a clean workspace
- Well organised and pays attention to detail
- You must be able to work independently, as well as part of a team
- Driven, confident, professional with a proactive approach

**Essential Physical Demands**:

- Ability to lift/carry up to 20 kgs during assigned shift
- Ability to walk and stand as needed
- Ability to bend, squat/kneel, twist/turn, climb, crawl, reach above shoulder, and type/keyboard frequently

**Qualification and Experience**
- At least 3-5 years of relevant experience within the print industry in a similar role
- Fiery command work station
- Preferable Adobe Creative Suite/In Design skills
- Forklift Licence (not essential)
