We are looking for motivated and dynamic APS6 staff to join the Dementia, Diversity and Design Branch.

There is an exciting opportunity within the Diversity and Inclusion section to contribute to design and implementation of reforms that will respond to Royal Commission recommendations and assist in improving the lives of older people in aged care who are living with diverse needs, including people living with dementia and/or people with diverse backgrounds and life experiences.

Within the Dementia Training and Behaviour Support section, there is an opportunity to support the design and delivery of new and existing arrangements to enhance support people living with dementia, including undertaking grant processes and ongoing program management activities as well as liaising with key stakeholders.

To be successful in these roles you will require strong communication skills to communicate information coherently and concisely to a range of audiences. You will need to manage competing priorities, meet short deadlines and respond flexibly to shifting priorities.

You will assist the strategic direction, development of innovative policy solutions and will require problem solving and research skills to identify new policy opportunities. You will be collaborating with a range of internal and external stakeholders to implement joint activities. You will also be expected to take personal responsibility to progress work and contribute to team performance.

Knowledge of health and aged care systems and interface issues, dementia and diversity within aged care, and experience engaging with stakeholders, including with state and territory governments, is desirable for the role/s.

This process may also be used to fill other vacancies which arise in the branch in the future.
