**What you will enjoy doing**
- You will be ensuring all drivers present for shift are in a fit state to perform duties, including no fatigue, and meet all operational requirements including weekly driver/vehicle BFM observation priority audits
- Interact frequently with customers to determine demand and site requirements
- In this role you will monitor stock levels, and be responsive to adjust schedules/plans to manage variances, emergencies and other factors that require various approaches including emergency response involving trucks, operators on designated shifts means you have a high degree of flexibility and adaptability to respond to rapidly changing contexts and needs of the business
- Undertaking load scheduling to achieve optimal utilization of fleet and resources is part of your role
- Scheduling and implementing a structure for maintaining regular servicing and maintenance of trucks, trailers and you ensure all fleet vehicles have current permits and registrations
- You will report all hazards, incident & injuries, and comply with investigations
- Further, you will contribute by communicating ideas that would add value to the business through the development of a quality service culture and a focus on teamwork
- Maintain effective communication with staff to ensure that issues and concerns identified are escalated for resolution in a timely manner, including managing human resource functions i.e., leave, performance management support and disciplinary matters
- Availability to all key internal and external customers as required with aim of resolving all customer concerns in a considered and timely manner
- Adherence to delegation of authority and responsible for billing and invoice management
**What makes you great**
- You have a proven experience in transport, logistics or similar industry working in an environment where load/unload activity occurs for DG products
- Prior experience and responsibility for planning, organizing, allocation of trucks, and supervising the work of others
- Moreover, you have strong understanding of principles for identifying and managing hazards and risks in the workplace means you will undertake investigations as required
- Experienced in data entry, you report performance, routine work activity and you are adept at analyzing and evaluating data results
- Sound verbal and written communication and computer skills for presenting information in work team and client environments, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and intranet systems
- You have the ability to work independently and as a leader of a team
